Magento Development
Magento is a highly scalable, flexible and feature-rich eCommerce platform. Although we use Drupal for some eCommerce sites, we typically recommend Magento for projects which are heavily focused on physical product sales. Magento has a powerful order management system, and allows for everything you'd expect in a high eCommerce site; from coupon codes, to connectivity with all major banking gateways in Australia.

Wordpress Development
WordPress is a web framework primarily focused on blogging, but has increasingly become popular outside of that, being used for everything from a content management system (CMS), to an online sales platform. As one of the most commonly used platforms on the web, Wordpress is widely appreciated because of it's easy of use through it's stunning management interface. As with Drupal, the core software is built by hundreds of community volunteers, and when you’re ready for more there are thousands of plugins and themes available to transform your site into almost anything you can imagine.

Django Development
Django is a high-level Python Web framework that encourages rapid development and clean, pragmatic design. Developed four years ago by a fast-moving online-news operation, Django was designed to handle two challenges: the intensive deadlines of a newsroom and the stringent requirements of the experienced Web developers who wrote it. We use Django at MoatMedia for heavily custom projects, requiring features for which existing frameworks may not accommodate as well.

Business Catalyst is a hosted application for building and managing online businesses. Using their unified platform and without back-end coding, you can build everything from amazing websites to powerful online stores, beautiful brochure-ware sites to lead generation mini-sites.

Kaltura Integration
Kaltura allows users to interact and collaborate in rich-media, for example, their video platform supports group-video making and peer production of rich-media. The main components of Kaltura's online video platform are based on open-source software, enabling any site to add advanced video and rich-media capabilities, and share content across the Kaltura Network of remixable content based on creative commons licensing. MoatMedia primarily uses Kaltura to integrate into Drupal sites, as the primary video content delivery system.

Custom Projects
Despite the prevalence in recent years of high quality open source web platforms, sometimes completely custom projects are required to be built or maintained. Although MoatMedia would very rarely recommend you start with a completely blank slate, we have built and worked on several completely custom websites and applications over the years. Due to this experience, we have plenty of knowledge of the trials and tribulations that come along with migrating custom built systems into more modern frameworks.
Hosting
